Introducing your little ones to the world of diverse foods can be both an exciting and cautious journey, especially when considering potential allergens. Our Organic Pistachio Powder is crafted specifically for this significant milestone.

High Quality & Organic: Made from top-tier organic pistachios, our powder captures the genuine essence of the nut, untainted by chemicals, additives, or artificial preservatives.

Ideal for Baby Palates: With its finely-milled texture, the pecan powder is specifically crafted to be gentle on infant digestive systems, integrating effortlessly into purees, cereals, or early-stage dishes.

Thoughtful Allergenic Food Introduction: As tree nuts, pistachios are potential allergens. Our powder offers parents a convenient and structured pathway to introduce them. Modern studies suggest that early allergen exposure might play a role in building tolerance, thus reducing potential allergic reactions in the future.

Bountiful in Nutrients: Pistachios are a treasure trove of healthful fats, essential vitamins, and antioxidants. Introducing this powder ensures your child taps into these benefits, fostering robust health and development.

Journey with us through the aromatic and nutritious world of pecans with our Organic Pecan Powder. It's not just about introducing a new taste—it's about nurturing health, fostering tolerance, and enriching your child's dietary experience.

How to Use

  1. When first introducing a new food, start by adding ¼ of a teaspoon into a child's usual food, puree or drink.
  2. If there is no allergic reaction, gradually increase the amount by ¼ of a teaspoon up to 1 teaspoon (2g total) over the next few days.
  3. Continue to give the food powder to the child regularly (at least twice weekly), as part of a varied diet, to maintain tolerance. Trying a food and then not giving it regularly may result in food allergy development.

ASCIA Recommendations for Allergy Prevention

  • When your infant is ready, at around six months, but not before four months, start to introduce a variety of solid foods. All infants should be given allergenic solid foods including peanut, cooked egg, dairy and wheat products in the first year of life. There is published evidence that this can protect against food allergy developing.
  • Only introduce one new common food allergen at each meal, so that the problem food can be identified if there is an allergic reaction. The most common food allergens are cow’s milk (dairy), egg, peanut, tree nuts, wheat, soy, sesame, fish and shellfish (crustaceans).
  • Unless there is an allergic reaction to the common food allergen, continue to give the food to your baby regularly (at least twice weekly), as part of a varied diet. Trying a food and then not giving it regularly to your infant may result in a food allergy developing.

Disclaimer

The goal of early allergenic food introduction is to familiarise the immune system with potential allergens, thereby reducing the risk of developing allergies. It is a valuable step in allergy risk reduction but doesn't guarantee 0% chance of allergies developing. Always consult with healthcare professionals for guidance.
